Martial Arts training is the best tool to
maximise these abilities from this critical period, helping cultivate
determination, resilience and a strong healthy mind. However the developing
of our reactions start to stabilise and decrease after 25 but with martial
art training you can help to maintain and reduce the degradation of reaction
speed along with compensate with other abilities to make us a well-balanced
human being. Muscle resistance, movement speed, efficient nervous system;
awareness of our body’s centre gravity can all be improved which enable your
children to access their natural talent and to get a head start in any other
endeavour.
Southampton Kids Kung Fu Club's
Instructor
Soon Tuan They began his training in
martial arts in 1965 with Crane Style Kung Fu. He began judging for European
Kung Fu /Wushu Championships in 1992 and has been
Head judge since 1998.
In 2006 Soon Tuan They participated in the formulation of
the syllabus of the EGS (European Kung Fu /Wushu
Grading System) on behalf of the EWUF (European Kung Fu /Wushu
Federation) and was appointed as Chief Grading Assessor for Great Britain.
Young and growing bodies need exercise in order for them
to develop a strong healthy physical structure. Kung Fu /Wushu
training also helps our children, to develop greater self-discipline, focus,
self-esteem and improves confidence. Children can progress through EGS
syllabus, earning certificates to reflect their developing skills. The EGS
syllabus is a standardised grading syllabus that will be taught throughout
Europe (and comes from EWUF the highest Authority) with the fundamental aim
to help promote Kung Fu /Wushu more effectively in
each of the European member countries.
